GUIDELINES FOR PREPARATION OF RESEARCH PAPERS

 

 

 

 

First  : Paper Contents

 

  1. Cover page includes:-
    1. Title of paper
    2. Name, occupation and full address of author(s)
  2. Text to be at most 15 pages (single line spaced), including comments, notes, graphs and tables.
  3. Comments and notes should be included as footnotes on the respective pages.
  4. References should be listed alphabetically on the last page (Arabic then English). For each reference please list name of author(s), title of book/article, publisher, place, date and page number(s).

 

  1. Diagrams, tables, drawings and photographs to be set within the text where they are mentioned. For each one please indicate its number, title and source.

 

  1. No listing is needed for the paper contents.

 

 

Second : Paper Format

 

  1. Use  “Microsoft Word” to prepare the paper according to the following specifications:-
    1. Paper Size: A4
    2. Paper Margins on all sides: 2.5 cm
    3. Paper orientation: Portrait

 

  1. Use “Times New Roman” font type as follows:-
    1. Main title to be written in font size 14 (Bold).
    2. Subtitles should be in font size 12 (Bold). 
    3. The text should be in font size 12 (Normal).
    4. The diagrams and tables should be in font size 12 (Normal).
    5. Notes should be in font size 10 (Normal).
    6. Use single spacing throughout.

 

  1. A hard copy of the paper should be mailed with all illustrations and attachments, together with a soft copy on a CD, to the address shown below. An electronic version should be sent by e-mail to: info@araburban.org

Pleas make sure to send illustrations and photos as electronic attachments using one of the following images formats “bmp, jpg, tif, gif”.

 

Third: Presentation

 1.      Accepted papers should be presented at the symposium in 20 minutes plus 10 minutes for discussion.

2.      Authors should prepare a PowerPoint presentation of a maximum of 20 slides to be submitted within 15 days of accepting the paper.

 

 

 Forth: Copyright

 

 Please fill out the attached “Copyright Form” and mail it with the final paper.

 Fifth: Biography

 Kindly include a brief biography (not exceeding 15 lines) with the final paper.

 

 

 

Note: The final decision on acceptance will be taken when the full paper is assessed, and also when it meets the above requirements.
