SIGNIFICANCE |
The Arab region is witnessing rapid population growth and physical expansion of building and other infrastructures. This increase is accompanied by more demands for municipal services and public facilities, a matter that burdens the municipalities with new responsibilities.
The concerned departments always improve their quality services through developing their managerial skills and reorganization of their procedures to provide better services and facilities to the community corresponding to the growing needs and demands.
They pursue several ways for identifying the most important factors that affect performance and for resolving the obstacles that hinder the improvement of the departments’ performance whether legislative, organizational, technological, or information.
Thus, this symposium will highlight and make diagnosis for the current status of those departments, specify and discuss various factors related to it, to reach out for suitable solutions for the problems and impediments, and to work hard on achieving the major objective of their existence for providing services and public utilities for the citizens in quality performance.
