First Arab International Conference on Sustainable Urban Development in the Syrian cities

under the auspices of HE the Prime Minister Muhammad Naji al-Otari , The International Conference on The First Arab on sustainable urban development in the Syrian cities in 28 and Sept. 29 at the Hall Rida Said Conference. central vision of the conference is to provide contributions " Syrian policy towards urban development ". The conference is held in cooperation between the Syrian Ministry of Local Administration and the German Cooperation for Sustainable Urban Development with the support of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, with contributions from the Arab Institute for Urban Development in Riyadh.

conference brings together representatives from the central government, ministries, planning organizations, universities and the mayors of all Syrian cities. The aim of the conference is to discuss the status of urban development in Syria, and options for enhancing the development opportunities in the Syrian cities and in accordance with the principles of development sustainable. 
hosts conference of international experts from Africa, Asia, Europe and the Arab region. are share their experiences on the status of sustainable urban development and organization of the advantages of networks of cities.

on the first day of the Conference, and international experts and the Arabs to submit reports of their urban development, and experience gathered in the city networks. It is complemented by an overview of the state of the cities in Syria. afterwards and discuss the main themes of sustainable urban development in Syria and urban planning, urban economy, urban environment and identity in the urban working groups.

On the second day, groups present their findings and recommendations will be included in the "Memorandum on sustainable urban development in Syrian cities ". This document describes in detail the current status of urban development in Syria. and explores the requirements of sustainable development in urban areas more, and draws the main conclusions to achieve this goal.
