Call for Papers: 3rd International Symposium on Knowledge Cities - 17-19 November 2008 Istanbul - Turkey

The Arab Urban Development Institute (AUDI) and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality in collaboration with Al-Medina Al-Munawarah Municipality, is organizing the 3^rd international symposium on “Knowledge Cities”. The symposium will be held in Istanbul city - Turkey during 17-19 November 2008.

The scientific committee invites the experts, researchers and specialized persons to actively participate in this symposium by submitting their abstracts of papers and experiences

Symposium “Towards Cities Friendly with All…The Role of Municipalities in Fostering the Humanitarian Aspect”, 5-7 Jamad Thani 1429H, (10-12 May 2008), Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

This symposium is intended to shed light on the inadequacy of the humanitarian aspect in the modern city, and the impact of town planning and designing of residential environments on the issue.

AUDI visits the Islamic Development Bank
